Kickstarter ends tonight!

Can you believe it? Today's the last day of this Kickstarter! The progress we've made just in the last 24 hours has been absolutely amazing.  We already unlocked our riff of Old to all backers at the $15 reward level and above, and we're well on our way to making it FREE to all backers! Not only that, but we have a real shot at unlocking a riff of that 1994 Stallone comic book classic Judge Dredd.

If you have a friend who wouldn't want to miss this Kickstarter: now's your last chance to let them know! If you pledge to this year's Kickstarter for just a buck you could get up to FIFTEEN COMEDY SHORTS, plus a RiffTones song parody, and an advance ticketing window to see the Return of Swamp Thing live show.

Make sure that you've pledged at the level you want before the campaign ends, and to double check your payment information. Once the campaign ends, Kickstarter will give you two weeks to update payment information if needed. Surveys will be sent after that process completes, and there you'll be able to add some of our physical rewards such as DVDs, Blu-rays, signed posters, and shirts. (And remember, if you do change your pledged dollar amount, be sure to select the new reward level also, because Kickstarter doesn't do that automatically.)

Shirt preview + Kickstarter ends tomorrow!

Happy Friday, backers!

We know this is a particularly happy start to the weekend because we just unlocked a riff of CATS (2019), are we right? 

Exclusive Shirt FIRST LOOK!

We wanted to drop in and give you the very first look at this year's exclusive Kickstarter shirt for THE RETURN OF SWAMP THING! The artist behind the shirt is Jennifer Albright, who has also created the poster art for such iconic RiffTrax releases as Double Dragon, San FranPsycho, and Father Frost. Since this is (technically) a comic book film, Jennifer took some inspiration from the original Alan Moore Swamp Thing comics to craft the design:

Taking that into account, along with this comic moment that was adapted into the film — wherein Abby (Heather Locklear) and Swamp Thing have a "shared psychedelic experience" — she opted to do a role-reversal take on THE RETURN OF SWAMP THING poster:

Jennifer says that her final artwork will lean into the psychedelic style of the comics, featuring "melty text" and swamp creatures in the background. From Jen: "It'll be a little bit of Jefferson Airplane, but also a little bit Basil Wolverton and other classic MAD Magazine artists." Color us excited! Here's the latest work-in-progress sketch:

While the color palette and details are still being finalized, we're big fans of the direction so far. We especially love how unique this will be among the pantheon of our previous Live Show Shirts! We'll post the FINAL design in a future Update. What do you folks think so far? 

Anyone who backs at the $100 reward tier or above will get this as part of their rewards! And anyone backing at a physical reward tier can add extras through Kickstarter add-ons. 

What if I'm backing at a digital level?

If you're backing at a digital level but would like to snag one of these extremely limited, soon-to-be-classic shirts, we'll also be offering them as add-ons through BackerKit, which will be available after the end of this Kickstarter.

We have just over 24 hours left in this campaign, and a long way to go to hit the rest of these stretch goals. We're running out of time, so spread the word! It's a great time to get friends into RiffTrax. Even if you (or the friends whom you have helpfully nudged) make a pledge for just a single buck, you AND they will get up to FIFTEEN COMEDY SHORTS, plus a RiffTones song parody, and an advance ticketing window to see the Return of Swamp Thing live show. And the rewards just keep going from there!

What happens if my pledge fails?

Don't panic! Kickstarter gives you two weeks to fix any payment errors. And beyond that, we'll have a BackerKit "store" created where you can even create a late pledge, if you need to.

RiffTrax Live: Return Of Swamp Thing Poster Design Preview!

Happy Wednesday Backers!

We have really hit a stride the last few days of the campaign. We just unlocked a riff of Dune (2021), a whole new version of The Tale Of Moose Baby, and are well on our way to unlocking 50 more clips and 450 more jokes for RiffTrax: The Game! Since this Kickstarter is all about RiffTrax Live: The Return of Swamp Thing, we thought it was high time we debuted a sneak peek at the poster for the live show!

Look at ole Swampy and Heather - you can just see the chemistry ooze off the page! Anyone who backs this campaign at the $220 reward tier and above will get a version of this poster, signed by Mike, Kevin, and Bill as part of their rewards.  (Our version will be somewhat smaller than an actual theatrical lobby poster, measuring 20" x 30", and we may tweak the final design somewhat.) Reminder: if you do update your pledged dollar amount, be sure to ALSO select the new reward level.

NEW MST3K Backer Rewards!

Hello everyone!

Since this campaign is concluding in the not-too-distant future, we thought it was only appropriate we bring in some new rewards from the folks over at Mystery Science Theater 3000. You may have heard of them!

For starters, everyone who backs this campaign at any level (except the "No Reward" level, for obvious reasons) will now get FIVE MST3K Shorts in the Gizmoplex as part of their rewards! But that's not where the Gizmoplex goodness stops. Any backer who supports us at the $60 ATTEND THE ONLINE GAME PREMIERE tier and above will also get access to RiffTrax's (that's us) event at the Gizmoplex later this year. HI-KEEBA!

Kevin Murphy here. Wow, only FOUR days to go in our Kickstarter campaign, and it’s been terrific. If you haven’t backed us, now’s the time, cause we want backers. We love backers. And the more backers there are, the more stretch goals get unlocked, and everybody gets more stuff! Who doesn’t like stuff?!
